"Island Choice is a hidden gem in Avon Park! We recently had the jerk pork, rice, and mac & cheese. All food is always full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The jerk pork was especially tender with just the right amount of spice. The prices were very reasonable, and the portions were generous. The co owner, Ms. Wanda, is super friendly and gives that warm, welcoming island hospitality that makes the experience even better. Definitely recommend if you're craving authentic Caribbean food without leaving Avon Park."

"Wow! Stopped by while I was in the area and I'm beyond impressed. Small shop, not any real room to eat in if there's multiple people there for pickup, but it's absolutely worth the visit. I got the jerk chicken with rice and plantains. The seasoning on the jerk chicken was perfect. Not too spicy and full of flavor. The rice was good but I don't know anyone who prioritizes that, I was more concerned with finishing the generous amount of chicken. ~edit I had to update this because it was so good I had to go back again. Right now I'm eating my cold leftovers from lunch straight from the fridge and it's still blowing my mind. I also got a couple beef patties this time around, they're flakey and delicious. So much flavor packed in this food."

"The food was so good!! It's the kind of food where you close your eyes on the first bite because the flavor is so good! I was dancing with almost every bite. The service was great. And they have a beautifully decorated screened in porch area for eating. I definitely recommend you try it!"

"I was skeptical of tying this spot because I didn't see too many reviews and one review I saw said the food didn't take authentic, but I decided to try it anyway I love authentic Jamaican food And I've tried so many and was not impressed but this place is absolutely amazing. The owner did advise me that he is a new local business so that is why he doesn't have as many reviews I asked for sample. I tried it and I was in love! The food taste amazing taste so amazing.
